The sea, the sky and all in between

Published on

Come, meet me at the mountain’s edge,

for we shall reach the sea

and drift into its endless depths.

With no time left to spare, we’ll be

untethered, bound, and free.

You and I – we are the same.

With light hearts, we run

towards the spaces made for us,

for there is more to see,

to hold,

to take before we’re done.

But if our travels turn up none,

I see it clear as day.

And if my eyes refuse to look,

I’ll hold the place where we once lay:

where you held me,

and I held you.

A loss unknown,

togetherly aloof.
