Come to meet me;
meet me by the edge of the mountain.
For we shall meet the sea
and drift into its depths.
With no time to spare, we will then be free.
…
You and I – we are the same.
With frivolity,
I know we run
toward the spaces made for us.
For we know there is more to be seen,
be had,
be held.
But –
if our adventures turn up none,
I still see it.
And if my eyes refuse, I will remember it:
where you held me,
and I held you.
A loss not known –
togetherly aloof.
